Bilateral Trade Overview

Export focuses on Australian beef and lamb, dairy, wine, health supplements, wool and agricultural commodities for sale to China. Import focuses on hardware, homewares, consumer goods and similar products entering the Australian wholesale and supermarket system. Both directions share a common documentation and compliance communication methodology, but category templates are filed separately.

Tariffs, exchange rates and approval timelines change with market and policy shifts. We assist in mapping clear pathways with trackable execution milestones.

Export and Import Sub-Divisions

Australian exports to China are detailed on the trade-export page, covering origin screening, inspection batches, cold chain and China-registration coordination. Chinese product import and distribution is detailed on the trade-import page, covering supplier screening, Australian compliance labelling and wholesale channel test sales.

Trade execution and supply chain is detailed on the trade-logistics page, covering booking, bill of lading, customs clearance and exception handling milestones.

Contracts and Sample Management

We recommend completing specification, packaging, label proof and small-scale test sales before formal shipment, with sample movements recorded via signed receipts. We can assist both parties in understanding Incoterms, inspection disputes and claims processes in contract terms, but do not provide legal advice.

Risk and Responsibility

For sensitive categories, clients must independently complete or engage specialist agencies for registration, label filing and health certificates. Growth Treasure marks responsibility boundaries and coordinates liaison. We accept no liability for losses caused by clients providing inaccurate information.

Starting a Trade Project

Please email indicating direction (export/import), product category, target volume and target market/channel. We will reply with the relevant colleague and preliminary materials checklist, and advise whether a consulting pathway assessment should be conducted first.

The Overall Logic of Bilateral Trade

Cross-border import–export for Growth Treasure is an execution exercise connecting "available Australian resources" with "Chinese/Australian channel demand." The export side emphasises origin compliance, batch consistency, and China registration coordination; the import side emphasises Australian standards compliance, importer liability, and wholesale channel pacing. Both directions share document cross-referencing and milestone visualisation methods, but category checklists are maintained separately.

Common Engagement Scope

Within authorised scope, we may participate in: supply-demand meeting organisation, sample tracking registration, booking and documentation milestone tracking, customs agent liaison, exception fact compilation, and channel trial feedback summarisation. Not included: signing legally binding contracts on behalf of clients (unless separately authorised in writing), paying for goods on behalf of clients, holding title to goods, or guaranteeing approval outcomes.

Integration Points with Consulting and Investment

After successful trade pilots, clients may need to establish a Chinese purchasing office or Australian importer—see consulting-setup. Agricultural or winery projects may simultaneously involve equity interest—see investment, but contracts and authorisations should remain separate. Email subject lines should indicate current phase, e.g. "Trade-Wine Trial-Batch 2."

The value of bilateral trade lies in sustainable cargo flow and compliance records, not one-off product speculation.

Trade Enquiry Entry

Please send export and import requirements as separate emails so the relevant colleague can provide a complete pathway in one response.
